Job description

The role covers CI/CD, Linux administration, application support, automation, authentication, monitoring, databases and platform upgrades.

Responsibilities include administering Jenkins, resolving build and plugin issues, managing Rocky/RHEL and Ubuntu environments, configuring Apache, HAProxy, reverse proxies and SSL/TLS, and implementing SAML, Kerberos/GSSAPI, LDAP, service accounts and RBAC.

The contractor will administer Gerrit, permissions, branch policies and submit rules, integrate source control with CI/CD, and maintain monitoring through Grafana, Prometheus, Telegraf, InfluxDB and Jolokia. Database work includes PostgreSQL tuning, backups, WAL management, Python/SQL migration tooling, MySQL replication and SQLite.

  • Develop Puppet modules and resolve configuration drift.
  • Deploy and maintain Docker containers, networking, storage and logging.
  • Test upgrades, rollback plans and security patches.

Requirements

Required experience includes DevOps, Linux infrastructure, platform engineering, application administration, security awareness and independent problem solving. Key tools include Jenkins, Git/Gerrit, PostgreSQL, Grafana, Prometheus, Artifactory, Coverity, QTest, Jira, Confluence, Puppet, Python, Bash/Shell, Groovy and SQL. Perforce Helix Core, Cadence vManager and MATLAB would be beneficial.
