DevOps Engineer

Leading edge client requires long term contract DevOps Engineer within a DevOps Apps and Infrastructure team, supporting enterprise software engineering platforms used by development and engineering teams. The work focuses on keeping CI/CD, source control, artefact management, quality, monitoring and Linux infrastructure reliable, secure and well maintained., * Administer and maintain Jenkins controllers, build environments and automated CI/CD processes.

• Manage Linux systems, application configuration, certificates, reverse proxies and restricted or air-gapped environments.
• Plan, test and deliver platform upgrades, including backup, rollback and security update activity.
• Support authentication, access control and enterprise security across engineering applications.
• Maintain monitoring services, investigate stability and capacity trends, and improve alerting and dashboards.
• Provide technical support, root-cause analysis, documentation and release notes for engineering users.

• Strong Linux administration skills across Rocky Linux, RHEL, Ubuntu and Windows environments.
• Good knowledge of Git, Gerrit, Jenkins, Docker, Puppet and application administration.
• Experience with Grafana, Prometheus, Telegraf, InfluxDB, Jolokia and PostgreSQL.

Python, Bash/Shell, Groovy or SQL Scripting experience, with the ability to improve processes rather than simply follow existing procedures
