Job description
- Responsible for supporting and delivering key software products across the product lifecycle.
- Working closely with the project teams including the System Design Authority, Engineering Manager and Team Engineers
- Attending client and supplier meetings.
- Attending and supporting equipment tests.
Requirements
- On course for a degree in Software Engineering (or related discipline)
- Understanding of Open Systems Architectures and Principles
- Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and be able to interact with people at all levels both within the company and externally
- Computer literacy to operate information systems. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Strong team focus
- Strong time management skills
- Ability to work independently at times under own initiative
- Ability to use own initiative when working under pressure
- Prioritise and manage personal workload to ensure deadlines are achieved.
- Willingness to travel in the UK and overseas
Desirable primary software/system skills:
- Java / JavaFX / Netbeans / Eclipse
- C++ / Visual Studio
- HMI design and development / User-centric design
- Information Assurance, Cyber/Network Security
- Software testing & verification
- Experience/familiarity with software development lifecycles
- UML / Enterprise Architect for system/software design
- Atlassian Toolset (JIRA, BitBucket, Confluence)
