Job description

The Professional Services Solutions Architect is a customer-facing, hybrid pre-sales and delivery-aligned role that serves as the technical bridge between Sales and Professional Services. This role partners closely with Sales during the pre-sales cycle to understand client requirements, design scalable solutions, respond to RFPs, and define implementation scope. Post-sale, the role ensures a smooth transition into Professional Services by validating technical assumptions, integrations, and delivery expectations.

  • Partner with Sales during sales cycles to provide technical guidance on solution design, architecture, and integration considerations
  • Participate in client discovery and sales calls to understand business goals, technical environments, and success criteria
  • Respond to RFPs / RFIs, providing clear, accurate, and scalable responses
  • Explain solution capabilities, integration options, and implementation approaches to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Identify technical risks, assumptions, and dependencies early in the sales process

Scope Definition & Commercial Alignment

  • Create, review, and refine Statements of Work (SOWs), including: implementation scope and deliverables; integration and API requirements; data conversion assumptions; identity and access management considerations (e.g., SSO); timeline, responsibilities, and constraints
  • Ensure proposed scope aligns with product capabilities and Professional Services delivery standards
  • Use AI-assisted tools (e.g., generative AI, automation, and analytics) to improve the speed and quality of solution design, documentation, and RFP/SOW responses while maintaining accuracy and customer confidentiality

Technical Architecture & Integration

  • Scope and design technical approaches for: REST API integrations; data conversions and migrations; Single Sign-On (SSO) solutions such as ADFS, OAuth, or OpenID Connect
  • Work with client IT teams, internal Engineering or Product to validate feasibility
  • Document high-level solution architectures and integration approaches
  • Provide guidance on best practices for secure, scalable implementations

Post-Sale Transition & Delivery Support

  • Lead the technical handoff from Sales to Professional Services
  • Support Professional Services teams by clarifying scope, integration designs, and technical decisions
  • Participate in early delivery phases as needed to ensure project kickoff success

Requirements

  • Experience in a SaaS environment, preferably supporting enterprise or mid-market
  • Prior experience in a customer-facing technical role such as Solutions Architect, Sales Engineer, Technical Consultant, or Implementation Architect
  • Strong understanding of APIs and system integrations; data migration and conversion strategies; identity management and SSO concepts
  • Experience supporting sales engagements and drafting or reviewing SOWs
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable responding to RFPs
  • Ability to translate business requirements into clear technical and delivery solutions, * Background in Professional Services, consulting, or implementation delivery
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams across Sales, Services, Product, and Engineering
  • Experience supporting public safety, education, healthcare, or other regulated environments preferred
  • Familiarity with incident management, CAD/RMS, dispatch, or case management systems preferred
  • Comfortable using AI-enabled tools (e.g., generative AI copilots) to accelerate drafting, synthesis, analysis, and documentation paired with strong quality control and responsible-use practices
  • Familiarity with enterprise IT environments and security considerations
