Job description
As a Senior Architect - SailPoint Identity Security Cloud (ISC) , you will make an impact by leading enterprise identity and access management transformation initiatives, defining cloud-native IAM strategies, and delivering scalable SailPoint Identity Security Cloud solutions that strengthen security, governance, and compliance.
You will be a valued member of the Identity and Access Management team and work collaboratively with security leaders, enterprise architects, engineering teams, business stakeholders, and client leadership to modernize identity programs and advance Zero Trust security initiatives.
In this role, you will:
- Define and drive the enterprise SailPoint Identity Security Cloud architecture, roadmap, and IAM modernization strategy.
- Architect complex SailPoint ISC solutions across multi-cloud and multi-region environments, ensuring scalability, security, and operational excellence.
- Establish identity governance frameworks, access certification programs, Segregation of Duties (SoD) controls, and compliance standards.
- Lead integration architecture with HR platforms, ITSM tools, directories, cloud services, and enterprise applications using APIs and modern automation patterns.
- Serve as the technical authority for SailPoint initiatives, mentoring architects and engineers while guiding executive stakeholders on IAM strategy and risk management.

Requirements
- 12+ years of experience in Identity and Access Management (IAM), including 5+ years of SailPoint IdentityNow or Identity Security Cloud architecture experience.
- Deep expertise in SailPoint ISC capabilities including workflows, connectors, identity lifecycle management, certifications, access models, policies, rules, and transformations.
- Experience designing and implementing large-scale IAM architectures in enterprise environments.
- Strong knowledge of Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, LDAP, HR systems, ITSM platforms, and cloud identity ecosystems.
- Hands-on experience with REST APIs, SCIM, OAuth, SAML, OpenID Connect (OIDC), JWT, and identity federation technologies.
- Experience developing integration and automation solutions using PowerShell, JSON, APIs, and serverless technologies.
- Strong understanding of Zero Trust architecture, identity governance, risk management, and regulatory compliance frameworks.
- Proven ability to lead architecture discussions, executive stakeholder engagements, and large-scale IAM transformation programs.
These will help you stand out:
- SailPoint Certified Identity Security Engineer certification.
- Experience migrating organizations from SailPoint IdentityIQ to SailPoint Identity Security Cloud.
- Knowledge of Privileged Access Management (PAM) platforms such as CyberArk or BeyondTrust.
- Experience designing cloud security and identity solutions within Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform environments.
- Strong leadership, communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience supporting audit engagements and regulatory compliance initiatives, including SOX, GDPR, HIPAA, ISO, and NIST frameworks.

Benefits & conditions
The annual salary for this position is between $ 135,000 - $ 150,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
