Job description

  • Build reporting data pipelines and dashboards to ensure stakeholders can access accurate, timely, and actionable insights
  • Design and execute A/B tests and apply causal inference methods to measure impact and inform product decisions
  • Partner directly with stakeholders to understand key business questions that improve Ad Quality and accelerate the evolution of Ads Products
  • Analyze structured and unstructured data and communicate insights to help stakeholders identify trends and make data-driven decisions
  • Develop analytics tools, models, alerts, and testing frameworks to measure Ad Quality and Ads Product metrics and inform business strategies
  • Deliver presentations that clearly and effectively communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders and executive audiences
  • Translate complex technical topics into clear business recommendations
  • Provide feedback to leadership and stakeholders across the company on the performance of various initiatives and untapped opportunities, Roku fosters an inclusive and collaborative environment where teams generally work in the office Monday through Thursday. Fridays are generally flexible for remote work, except for employees whose specific roles or assigned office location require five days’ a week attendance.

Requirements

Roku is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join the Core Analytics team with a focus on Ad Quality and Ad Products. In this role, you will partner with business stakeholders, product managers, and engineers to solve complex analytical problems and deliver actionable insights that influence strategic business decisions. You will own end-to-end problem solving, from identifying trends and developing measurement frameworks to designing A/B tests and leveraging causal inference methods. A core part of your work will involve building data pipelines, dashboards, and automated reports to ensure high ad quality and strong ad performance across the Roku platform. You will translate complex technical findings into compelling data stories that provide strategic recommendations to executive leadership and cross-functional partners. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical depth, clear communication skills, and a proactive approach to identifying opportunities that accelerate business growth., * A bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of advanced analytics experience, or a master’s/Ph.D. with 3+ years of experience

  • Strong SQL skills and experience with business intelligence tools such as Looker
  • Experience with R or Python for data analysis and modeling
  • Deep knowledge of experimental design and causal inference methods, including expertise in A/B testing
  • Experience with forecasting models such as SARIMA, Prophet, TFT, or similar approaches
  • Experience in data management, analytics, data science, and reporting
  • Experience with advertising systems, programmatic advertising, and advertising identity
  • Ability to work independently and manage relationships with stakeholders across multiple teams
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with data visualization and action-oriented narrative for stakeholder and executive audiences
  • A proactive approach to identifying opportunities and proposing solutions

For New York Only - The estimated annual salary for this position is between $127,500 - $170,400 annually.

Compensation packages are based on factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, certifications, and specific geographical location.
