  • Perform routine spatial analysis and queries to support decision-making across departments.
  • Manage and integrate external data sources to enhance GIS projects, reporting, and data accuracy.
  • Support end users by responding to routine GIS requests, troubleshooting issues, and helping resolve data discrepancies.
  • Perform quality control checks to maintain geodatabase integrity and ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to provide GIS support for projects and initiatives.
  • Research and compile information to keep GIS data current, accurate, and useful for business needs.
  • Stay current on GIS tools, practices, and process improvements that enhance efficiency and expand team capabilities.
  • Demonstrate professionalism, flexibility, and a collaborative approach while adapting to changing priorities.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in GIS or related field preferred; bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of GIS experience within the Oil and Gas Industry
  • Foundational knowledge of GIS software, including ArcMap and/or ArcGIS Pro.
  • Understanding of geodatabase creation, maintenance, editing, and spatial data management.
  • Strong cartographic skills with the ability to design clear, accurate, and professional maps and presentations.
  • Ability to perform basic spatial analysis, queries, and data validation.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy when working with data, reports, and mapping outputs.
  • Effective organizational, time management, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across departments and support a wide range of business needs.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development in GIS applications and tools.
  • Ability to work in an office environment with occasional field or site visits and operate standard office and computer equipment.
