Production Support Analyst (Equities, fixed income, Market Data)

This person will provide Level 2 application support for Cantor’s equities algorithmic trading platform and BGC Partners’ electronic and hybrid trading platforms. They will monitor production environments, respond to technical platform and trade failures, troubleshoot application and FIX logs, investigate connectivity and environmental issues, and communicate status updates to internal and external clients through resolution. They will also support scheduled jobs using Autosys and Cron, configure server and application monitoring, assist with software releases and post-release health checks, and build tools or automation to improve support processes. The role will follow IT Service Management practices across incident, problem, and change management.

• L2 application or production support experience within a technical environment

• Equities, fixed income, and/or foreign exchange and Market Data knowledge

• Strong Unix/Linux and Windows operating system experience

• Advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

• Ability to analyze application logs, FIX logs, environmental issues, and client connectivity problems

• Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Unix Shell, or Perl

• Understanding of external connectivity and basic networking concepts

• Experience monitoring and responding to technical platform or trade failures

Ability to provide proactive updates to internal and external clients - Knowledge of FIX protocol

• Experience supporting electronic or algorithmic trading platforms

• SQL and database experience

• Experience with Autosys and Cron

• Experience with Micro Focus OpsBridge, HP OpenView, or SiteScope

• Experience with Git, Perforce, or other source-code repositories

• Knowledge of software release processes and tools

• Jira Service Desk experience

• Server administration experience
