Job description
Performs hardware integration and final assembly including liaison actions. Reviews engineering models and technical drawings for producibility and identifies design errors, omissions, and deficiencies. Recommends revisions or improvements in design layout to responsible engineers or designers. Works within a model based engineering environment (3DX). Defines operations procedures and build sequences using understanding of flight hardware and assembly processes. Provides input on design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and assembly or service techniques. Investigates and initiates corrective action of problems and deficiencies. Supports development, prototype, or first article programs (new product introduction). Applies aircraft experience including production support, maintenance, or testing. Desired: Performs on-vehicle testing and troubleshooting of aircraft sub-systems, liaison engineering, hands-on production floor support, manufacturing assembly work instruction authoring, jet engine integration, wire harness installation, aircraft fuel systems, and Delmia software usage.
Requirements
Active secret clearance required. 10+ years of aircraft sub-systems or structures assembly or integration experience. 5+ years of applied aircraft experience (production support, maintenance, or testing). 4+ years of recent experience in 3DX or Catia V5 software. Experience with development, prototype, or first article program support (new product introduction). Experience reviewing engineering models and technical drawings for producibility of new designs. Ability to work independently within an Integrated Product Team (IPT) and make critical program decisions. Preferred: On-vehicle testing and troubleshooting of aircraft sub-systems. Preferred: Liaison engineering experience and hands-on production or shop floor support. Preferred: Engineering degree, A&P license, or similar aviation maintenance certification., Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or protected individual under 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) to comply with ITAR regulations.
