Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Developer - Microservices to join our team in Auburn Hills, MI. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in Java development, enterprise integration, microservices, API development, and AWS.

The successful candidate will design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain scalable enterprise applications while collaborating with architects, technical leads, DevOps engineers, frontend developers, and business teams., * Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain enterprise Java applications and microservices.

  • Develop scalable solutions using Java, Spring Framework, and Spring Boot.
  • Design and implement secure REST and SOAP APIs/web services.
  • Develop enterprise integration services and microservice-based applications.
  • Build event-driven architectures and real-time data pipelines using Apache Kafka.
  • Implement Redis caching solutions for improved performance and scalability.
  • Integrate applications with AWS SQS and AWS SES.
  • Work with API gateways and IBM DataPower.
  • Develop and maintain SOA, web services, and enterprise integration solutions.
  • Analyze technical issues and coordinate resolution with cross-functional teams.
  • Translate business requirements into technical designs and solutions.
  • Create technical documentation, system designs, process flows, and data flow diagrams.
  • Apply secure development practices, design patterns, and object-oriented principles.
  • Collaborate with DevOps teams on CI/CD and cloud-based deployments.
  • Support functional, integration, and performance testing.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentor junior developers.
  • Collaborate with technical delivery leads, project teams, and business users.
  • Stay current with Java, cloud, microservices, and enterprise integration technologies.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of overall IT experience.
  • 5+ years of Java development and enterprise integration experience.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Java/J2EE and Microservices.
  • Strong experience with Spring Framework, Spring Boot, Spring Data JPA, and Spring Batch.
  • Experience developing REST and SOAP web services.
  • Experience with JMS, XML, XSLT, XQuery, XSD, WSDL, JSON, and JDBC.
  • Strong experience with Apache Kafka and event-driven architectures.
  • Hands-on experience with Redis caching.
  • Experience integrating with AWS SQS and AWS SES.
  • Experience with API gateways and IBM DataPower.
  • Experience with WebSphere, JBoss, and Tomcat.
  • Experience with SSO, SAML, OAuth, and OIDC.
  • Experience with Hibernate/JPA.
  • Experience with Oracle and/or MySQL databases.
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented design and J2EE architecture.
  • Experience with Git/SVN, Jenkins, Maven, and Jira.
  • Experience with Unix shell scripting and/or Perl.
  • Strong enterprise integration and SOA experience.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience mentoring developers or providing technical leadership.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Automotive OEM experience is a plus.
  • Experience with AWS/cloud-based DevOps environments.
  • Experience with Big Data, Hadoop, and cloud databases.
  • Previous experience as a Technical Lead or Senior Engineer.
