Job description
client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Oracle Cloud ERP Technical Lead / Developer to provide hands-on technical development, integration, reporting, workflow, automation and extensibility capabilities across the Oracle GovCloud environment.
This individual must be capable of independently designing, developing, troubleshooting, testing and deploying enterprise Oracle Cloud solutions.
This is not a traditional SQL/reporting developer position. The successful candidate must have strong hands-on experience across OIC, APEX, Visual Builder/VBCS, APIs, Oracle workflows, BI Publisher, RTF templates, ATP, SQL/PLSQL, and Oracle AI capabilities.
Primary Responsibilities
- Design and develop Oracle Cloud technical solutions.
- Support and remediate existing integrations and custom development.
- Perform root-cause analysis of complex technical production issues.
- Design and develop Oracle Integration Cloud integrations.
- Develop REST and SOAP API integrations.
- Develop Oracle APEX applications.
- Develop Oracle Visual Builder/VBCS applications and extensions.
- Support Oracle Visual Builder Studio.
- Develop solutions aligned with Oracle Redwood UX standards.
- Develop and customize Oracle approval workflows.
- Configure BPM approval rules and routing.
- Troubleshoot workflow failures.
- Develop technical solutions supporting ERP, PPM, Procurement and future SCM processes.
- Develop SQL and PL/SQL solutions.
- Support ATP-based applications and data solutions.
- Develop automation to eliminate manual business processes.
- Participate in technical design reviews and code reviews.
- Develop technical specifications.
- Maintain source code and deployment documentation.
- Support controlled migrations between DEV, TEST/UAT and Production.
Oracle Reporting Responsibilities
The resource must possess advanced hands-on Oracle reporting experience including:
- BI Publisher
- OTBI
- BI Publisher Data Models
- Custom SQL queries
- XML
- XSLT
- Report bursting
- Report scheduling
- Custom report deployment
- Report migration between environments
- RTF template creation
- RTF template modification and troubleshooting
- Excel-based report templates where applicable
- Integration of Oracle reporting with downstream reporting platforms such as Power BI
The candidate must be comfortable taking ownership of existing custom reports and modifying both data models and presentation templates.
Oracle Workflow Responsibilities
Hands-on experience should include:
- Oracle BPM workflows
- Approval workflow configuration
- Approval routing
- Conditional approvals
- Escalations
- Notifications
- Workflow troubleshooting
- Workflow customization
- Approval-rule maintenance
- Production workflow support
The resource must understand the potential SOX implications of modifying financial approval workflows.
Oracle Integration Cloud
Required capabilities include:
- OIC integrations
- REST APIs
- SOAP web services
- File-based integrations
- Scheduled integrations
- Event-driven integrations
- Error handling
- Retry/recovery mechanisms
- Logging
- Monitoring
- Integration troubleshooting
- Secure credential management

Oracle AI & Automation
The resource should have genuine hands-on experience with Oracle AI Agents and Oracle AI-enabled application development.
Responsibilities will include:
- Develop Oracle AI Agents.
- Develop AI-assisted business processes.
- Integrate AI capabilities with Oracle Cloud APIs and applications.
- Develop AI-enabled workflows and automation.
- Partner with functional SMEs to identify appropriate AI use cases.
- Build governed AI solutions appropriate for enterprise production.
- Implement appropriate logging and traceability.
- Work with the Solution Architect and Information Security to ensure AI solutions meet client security and compliance requirements.
AI experience must extend beyond general familiarity with generative AI.

- Demonstrated post-production Oracle Cloud support experience.
- Experience supporting complex enterprise integrations.
- Experience with controlled production deployments.
- Experience developing technical solutions for Oracle ERP.
- Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis capabilities.
