Job description

  • Work with a team to build and maintain web applications in Ruby on Rails
  • Develop software in line with our existing software architecture and coding guidelines
  • Implement new features and modules
  • Build APIs that can scale to millions of requests
  • Develop automated test for new development
  • Work with the latest tools and technologies in a highly collaborative environment
  • Identify and consume ruby gems
  • Be part of an agile team that moves quickly and loves Rails

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience with building Ruby on Rails Web applications
  • Experience with front-end development including HTML, CSS and JavaScript
  • Experience with building RESTful API endpoints
  • Experience with relational databases including MySQL or PostgreSQL
  • Experience with document and object-based databases including Redis or MongoDB
  • A passion for Ruby on Rails and an appreciation for the benefits of agile workflows
  • Strong problem-solving skills and analytical thinking
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Passion for cycling or fitness technologies
