Job description

We’re looking for a seasoned Identity Governance Specialist to lead access certification and review initiatives within a complex enterprise environment. This role offers the opportunity to shape governance processes, strengthen audit readiness, and help improve how identities, entitlements, and access are managed across multiple systems. Responsibilities

  • Own the design, configuration, and ongoing management of access certification and review processes.
  • Translate governance requirements, control objectives, and compliance needs into scalable certification workflows.
  • Define and support integrations using connector-based, API-based, file-based, and database-backed methods.
  • Configure user, entitlement, role, and application certification campaigns, including reviewer assignment and delegation logic.
  • Establish escalation paths, reminders, completion timelines, and automated remediation workflows.
  • Review changes that may affect certification accuracy, auditability, control effectiveness, or scalability.
  • Use SQL and relational data knowledge to support reconciliation, reporting, and troubleshooting.
  • Document configuration details, operational processes, and certification runbooks to support ongoing governance.
  • Partner with business, application, audit, compliance, and security teams to align governance requirements with system capabilities.
  • Continuously evaluate platform features and best practices to improve the effectiveness of certification programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or university degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 4+ years of experience in Identity Governance & Administration (IGA) or Identity and Access Management (IAM).
  • Hands-on experience operating SailPoint Identity Security Cloud, especially access certifications and reviews.
  • Strong knowledge of user, entitlement, and role certifications, along with identity correlation and aggregation.
  • Experience with entitlement modeling and role-based access control (RBAC).
  • Working knowledge of scripting or automation tools such as REST APIs or PowerShell.
  • Experience analyzing data quality issues that affect certification accuracy.
  • Ability to explain technical decisions, risk considerations, and evidence clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience supporting identity lifecycle and deprovisioning workflows.
  • Background designing certification programs in large, complex, or regulated environments.
  • Technical leadership experience and the ability to influence across teams.
  • Experience establishing or updating process documentation in response to changing security needs.
  • Knowledge of information security policies, standards, and governance controls.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity operations, vulnerability assessment, or threat-focused environments.
