Job description
- Phase 1: Hands-on training in panel assembly, electrical components,wiring, schematics, safety, and quality standards.
- Phase 2 :Quality testing and verification, including wiring inspections, continuitytesting, fiber optics, Ethernet communications, and support of FactoryAcceptance Testing (FAT).
- Phase 3: Protection relay preparation, firmware loading, configuration,and bench verification.
- Phase 4: Field service rotation supporting customer projects, includinginstallation, wiring modifications, component replacement,troubleshooting, repairs, and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT).
Throughout the program, you will work alongside experienced Siemens technicians and engineers supporting utilities, data centers, manufacturing facilities, renewable energy projects, and other critical power infrastructure.
You’ll make animpact by:
- Building, wiring, and testing Protection & Automation controlpanels.
- Installing, replacing, and troubleshooting electrical and automationcomponents.
- Performing wiring modifications, rewiring, and equipment repairs.
- Reading electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technicaldocumentation.
- Supporting Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing(SAT), and commissioning activities.
- Following Siemens and customer safety,quality, and site requirements.
Requirements
- Associate degree in Engineering,Electrical Engineering Technology, Power Systems Technology, Electronics,Electromechanical Technology, or a related technical field.
- Passion for innovation, hands-ontechnical work, and problem-solving.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, andorganizational skills.
- In your final year or approaching graduation (eligible to work full-time during the summer, and at least 30 hours/week during the semester).
- Willingness to travel extensively, up to 10weeks per year, including Monday-Friday travel to customer sites acrossthe United States and occasional Sunday travel.
- Ability to work overtime, weekends, ornonstandard schedules based on project needs.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Legal authorization to work in the UnitedStates on a continual and permanent basis.
