Job description
- Provides application and systems testing support for a mission-critical environment with strict compliance and operational requirements. The position is responsible for executing functional and compliance-based testing, troubleshooting issues, documenting results, and supporting the full software testing life cycle. The ideal candidate has solid Linux experience and the ability to work independently in a technical environment., * Perform application-level and systems testing in support of mission requirements.
- Execute functional testing of COTS and vendor-provided user client applications.
- Verify applications properly interface and operate with ITS components and meet established compliance requirements.
- Develop, execute, and document test cases, procedures, and results throughout the test life cycle.
- Identify, troubleshoot, document, and track defects and issues through resolution.
- Perform testing and troubleshooting in Linux environments using command-line tools as needed.
- Support compliance testing against defined technical, security, and operational requirements.
- Work with engineering and operations teams to investigate issues and validate corrective actions.
- Contribute to improving testing processes and test automation capabilities.
- Solid understanding of and hands-on experience with Linux environments.
- Experience performing application-level testing and troubleshooting.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
- Five (5) years of experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity within the Federal Government is required., * Automated Testing
