ADABAS Developer

We are looking for an ADABAS Developer to develop, maintain, and support applications running on ADABAS and Natural environments. The candidate will work on application development, enhancements, troubleshooting, and production support. Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain applications using ADABAS and Natural.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Develop, modify, and test Natural programs.
• Design and maintain ADABAS database files and structures.
• Write and optimize ADABAS queries and database operations.
• Perform application debugging and troubleshooting.
• Fix production issues and provide application support.
• Perform unit testing and support system and integration testing.
• Develop batch and online programs as required.
• Analyze existing legacy applications and implement enhancements.
• Prepare technical documentation and maintain program specifications.
• Work with business analysts, QA teams, and other technical teams.
• Support application deployments and production releases.
• Monitor application performance and identify opportunities for improvement.

• Strong experience with ADABAS database.
• Good knowledge of Natural programming.
• Experience with batch and online processing.
• Knowledge of ADABAS file structures and database concepts.
• Experience in application development and maintenance.
• Good debugging and troubleshooting skills.
• Understanding of SDLC and software development processes.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Natural/ADABAS on Mainframe environments.
• Knowledge of JCL and mainframe concepts.
• Experience with z/OS.
• Knowledge of COBOL is an advantage.
• Experience with production support and legacy application modernization.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
• 3-6 years of experience in ADABAS/Natural development.
