We operate at the intersection of AI, mobile, and commerce, combining the speed and experimentation of an AI organization with the scale and engineering challenges of one of the world’s largest consumer platforms. What you’ll do:

  • Define architecture for AI-powered experiences across Walmart’s iOS and Android apps.
  • Build AI-native patterns spanning conversational, generative UI, multimodal, and agentic experiences.

  • Lead complex cross-team initiatives and architecture reviews.
  • Mentor engineers and raise the technical bar across the organization.

  • Expertise in Swift/SwiftUI and/or Kotlin/Jetpack Compose and modern mobile architecture.
  • Track record of designing reusable platforms, frameworks, or capabilities used across teams.
  • Experience defining technical strategy and leading complex, cross-organizational initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of distributed systems, performance, reliability, and mobile/backend architecture.
  • Experience with Generative AI, LLMs, conversational, multimodal, or agentic systems is highly desirable.
  • Strong product instincts and ability to translate emerging technology into intuitive experiences.
  • Proven technical leadership, influence, and mentorship at scale., Outlined below are the required minimum qualifications for this position. If none are listed, there are no minimum qualifications.
