Job description
The purpose of this position is to provide hardware electrical engineering design support for the Fueling Solutions Embedded group in the form of new printed circuit assembly products and support of current production assemblies.
What you will do:
- Design, develop, and execute embedded hardware solutions to address business needs across dispensers, backroom controllers and payment platforms or any product lines across Fueling Solutions
- Design, develop, and execute solutions to address business needs on our Fueling Systems platforms.
- Design systems that are efficient, scalable, maintainable, and accurately meet the needs of the business.
- PCB design and layout knowledge.
- Familiarity with serial protocols such as RS-485/CANBUS and GPIO manipulation.
- Real time digital I/O hardware, microcontroller coding, and RTOS experience.
- Analog design experience.
- EMI, intrinsic safety, W&M, PCI, and UL experience
- Participate or lead PCBA design reviews.
- Work cross functionally to plan projects for feasibility, risk, and level of effort.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Experience developing Printed Circuit Board Assemblies (Cadence preferred)
- Experience releasing hardware projects (Windchill/Microsoft Dynamics AX preferred)
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
- Ability to interface with customers and external stakeholders.
Desired:
- 4-8 years of experience required with an emphasis on electronic assembly introduction (PCB/PCA design, system architecture, embedded firmware).
- Self-starter that can work in a dynamic team environment.
- Electronic design schematic capture experience (Cadence being a plus).
- Experience in RTOS, C, C++.
- Experience with Regulatory governance (UL, FCC, W&M).
- Experience with serial protocols such as RS-485/CANBUS and GPIO manipulation.
