Job description

  • Triage and resolve maintenance backlog items, including bug fixes, performance improvements, dependency updates, and infrastructure maintenance.
  • Develop and deliver new features within a full-stack application using TypeScript, Node.js, React, PostgreSQL, Docker, and AWS.
  • Build and maintain workflows that support regulatory compliance processes for autonomous technology operators.
  • Utilize AI-assisted coding tools while reviewing, validating, and explaining generated code changes.
  • Write clean, well-documented code with small, reviewable commits and pull requests.
  • Identify and communicate potential security or reliability concerns related to AI-powered functionality.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to complete defined development tasks within an existing production codebase.
  • Assist with maintaining application stability, performance, and reliability.

Requirements

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
  • Professional experience with TypeScript, Node.js, React, PostgreSQL, and Docker.
  • Experience deploying applications on AWS using infrastructure-as-code tools such as CDK, CloudFormation, or Terraform.
  • Experience using Git and GitHub, including creating clean pull requests and maintaining an organized commit history.
  • Experience contributing to and maintaining an existing production codebase rather than exclusively developing new applications from scratch.
  • Experience using AI coding tools while understanding, validating, and explaining generated code.
  • Working knowledge of language models, including their capabilities, limitations, and security considerations.
  • Experience working in aviation, defense, or another regulated industry is preferred.
  • Customer-facing experience is preferred.

Benefits & conditions

  • Competitive base salary of $95,000-$120,000, depending on experience.
  • Equity opportunity.
  • Fully remote position for candidates based in the United States.
