Job description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Back-End Engineer to join our team as a Lead in Application Development with expertise in Java. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining robust back-end systems to support our applications. This is a contract position based in Chicago, Illinois., * Design, develop, and maintain back-end systems and services using Java.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
  • Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
  • Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs to improve application performance.
  • Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and share knowledge with the team.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure the application remains current and competitive., * Purchase any product, service, or gift cards from us or for us as part of an application, interview, or selection process.

Pay Range: $85/hr - $90/hr

The specific compensation for this position will be determined by several factors, including the scope, complexity, and location of the role, as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials, and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.   • Proven experience as a Back-End Engineer with a strong focus on Java development.
  • Solid understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns.
  • Experience with RESTful APIs and web services.
  • Familiarity with database systems and writing efficient queries.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
