Job description

Insight Global is seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer to join a quality engineering team in Richmond, VA focused on supporting and enhancing a suite of learning-based applications. This individual will serve as a technical leader for Playwright-based automation efforts, developing and maintaining automated test solutions, expanding automation coverage, performing code reviews, and helping establish automation standards across the QA organization. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of professional quality assurance and test automation experience, including 3+ years working with modern automation frameworks and CI/CD environments, along with hands-on expertise in Playwright, C# or TypeScript development, API testing, and a passion for mentoring other engineers while continuously improving automation maturity, testing processes, and overall product quality. The pay for this role ranges from $44-$54/hour based on experience.

Requirements

5+ years of professional quality assurance and test automation experience, including 3+ years experience with modern automation frameworks and integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines

-Strong hands-on experience building and maintaining automated test frameworks and regression suites using Playwright

-Experience developing automation solutions in C# or TypeScript

-Experience creating and maintaining end-to-end, regression, smoke, and API automated tests

-Strong API testing experience

-Experience performing automation code reviews and enforcing automation standards and best practices

-Ability to analyze test failures, troubleshoot issues, and improve overall automation reliability

-Experience mentoring, training, or supporting QA Engineers on automation tools and frameworks -Familiarity with tools like Postman for API validation

-Experience with performance testing tools, particularly JMeter

-Exposure to AI-driven tools or techniques within testing workflows
