Job description

  • Design and develop scalable, high-performance web applications using React, Next.js, and Express
  • Own architectural decisions and be able to articulate the reasoning and tradeoffs behind them
  • Integrate AI and LLM-powered features into production applications thoughtfully and with an eye toward reliability and user impact
  • Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to shape technical requirements from the ground up
  • Diagnose and resolve complex bugs across the full stack
  • Champion engineering best practices and help define how the team works at its best

Requirements

  • Strong proficiency with React.js and Next.js on the frontend
  • Solid Node.js and Express.js experience on the backend
  • Hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, or similar)
  • Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs and working within a microservices architecture
  • Comfort with Git-based workflows and CI/CD practices
  • Active use of AI coding tools (Copilot, Cursor, Claude, or similar) as part of your day-to-day workflow
  • A track record of making and defending architectural decisions, not just implementing them
  • Clear communication skills; you can translate technical tradeoffs for non-technical stakeholder
  • Nice to Have:

  • Experience building or integrating LLM-powered features in production (RAG pipelines, agent workflows, evaluation frameworks)
  • Familiarity with sports tech, real-time data pipelines, or performance-sensitive consumer applications
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code or deployment automation
