  • Design, build, and maintain high-scale, distributed systems to work with the company.
  • Work within a team to build the core networking solutions, which include load balancing, mTLS networking, fleet health & observability used by product teams to build and operate microservices supporting the company’s business.
  • Build a great customer experience for internal company teams using Infra and play a key role in enabling the company’s Infra to power all of the company’s products globally and at scale.
  • Scope, design, implement, and deploy robust solutions, making appropriate tradeoffs between reliability, throughput, latency, resiliency, engineering, velocity, and cost.
  • Innovate, design, and implement software solutions that contribute towards improvement and resiliency, reliability, efficiency, and management at scale.
  • Contribute to team strategy, roadmap, tooling, process, and culture.
  • Set clear goals and provide regular feedback on team member performance.

Who you are

Requirements

Must have a Bachelor’s Degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, or a related field, plus five (5) years of post-bachelor’s progressive work experience in software engineering. In the alternative, the employer is willing to accept a Master’s Degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, or a related field, plus three (3) years of experience in Software Engineering.

Must also have three (3) years of experience in the following:

  • Software development including in Cloud systems, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, and OCI;
  • Creating technical architecture and design;
  • Building an operating infrastructure and tools that empower developers;
  • Developing software using Java and GO;
  • Developing, maintaining and debugging distributed systems built with open source tools;
  • Breaking down large, complex systems, identifying shortcomings and optimization opportunities, and making data drive cost performance tradeoffs to influence design decisions; and
  • Utilizing systems and tools including: Kubernetes, EC2, Envoy, Linux, and Puppet.

Benefits & conditions

Salary: $221,187 - $285,600/yr.

This salary range represents the base salary range for the role and any sales commissions/sales bonuses targets, if applicable, would be in addition to the base salary.

40 hrs/week

100% Telecommuting permitted.
