Software Engineer

We are looking for a Software Engineer who thrives in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment, is comfortable working across the full stack, and is eager to continuously learn new technologies and skills.

You will build features that touch millions of customers and directly impact Aura’s growth and revenue. You will collaborate closely with Product, Design, Marketing, and Data teams to run experiments, ship quickly, and iterate based on results. You will leverage AI-assisted development tools to ship features rapidly, while applying your own software expertise and judgment to ensure quality through application of best practices, robust testing, and appropriate guardrails.

What you bring to the table (required experience and skills):

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a track record of shipping and maintaining products in production

• Full-stack experience with modern front-end frameworks (e.g., React/TypeScript) and familiarity with back-end technologies (e.g., Node.js, GraphQL, REST APIs)

• Comfort working across the stack - you do not need to be an expert in everything, but you are able to contribute to frontend, backend, or mobile codebases as needed

• Experience with modern web tooling (bundlers, CI/CD, testing frameworks)

• Experience with analytics and observability tools for instrumenting features, debugging production issues, and understanding user behavior (e.g., OpenTelemetry, PostHog, SigNoz, Grafana, Datadog, or similar).

• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively in a remote-first environment

• Proficiency with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude, Cursor, Copilot, etc.) and enthusiasm for integrating AI into your daily coding, debugging, and planning workflows

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience

It would be nice if you had (preferred experience and skills):

• Experience with React Native or mobile app development

• Familiarity with subscription/payment systems or e-commerce flows

• Experience with A/B testing and experimentation platforms

• Experience with marketing tech integrations (e.g., Braze)

• Familiarity with AWS infrastructure and deployment pipelines (Terraform/HCL)

Pay range for this position is $130,000-$165,000, but may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location. This position is remote, but candidates must be US-based.
