Job description

Magnus Management Group LLC is seeking a highly organized and customer-focused IT Coordinator to provide on-site IT coordination and end-user support for the Department of Energy’s Naval Reactors Laboratory Field Office Mission Support Division. The selected candidate will coordinate IT support activities, troubleshoot end-user issues, support employee onboarding and offboarding, maintain hardware and software information, track service tickets, coordinate software and equipment installations, support telecommunications, and assist with IT projects and process improvements. Key Responsibilities Provide direct IT support to personnel and coordinate support with applicable site and enterprise IT organizations. Respond to general user IT questions, service issues, and technical-support requirements. Perform IT-related employee onboarding and offboarding activities. Maintain a current knowledgebase/inventory of hardware and software to support maintenance, enhancement, and technology-refresh activities. Coordinate equipment delivery, asset tracking, installation requests, installation status, product documentation, driver maintenance, and end-user feedback. Assist with software approval, installation, configuration, and ongoing operational support. Troubleshoot or coordinate resolution of connectivity and configuration issues involving non-enterprise systems. Coordinate or provide specialized user training for unique hardware and software. Monitor open Remedy tickets and work with applicable IT personnel to prioritize and resolve tickets within established service levels. Identify recurring IT trends or problems that affect workforce productivity and recommend appropriate corrective actions. Coordinate IT support for special projects and project-oriented technical requests. Support initiatives to streamline NRLFO IT processes using common systems and processes. Recommend technologies and solutions that improve employee efficiency and effectiveness. Assist with or coordinate software-application development activities as required. Support telecommunications activities including scheduling, configuration, and troubleshooting. Support voice, telephone, voicemail, audio conferencing, mobile devices, network connectivity, and videoconferencing technologies. Ensure telecommunications requirements are addressed for new and transferred employees. Maintain IT project, task, initiative, risk, schedule, and status documentation. Provide weekly management briefings on IT projects and initiatives. Coordinate closely with NRLFO IT Branch, Business Management Branch, and applicable NNL IT personnel. Develop, maintain, and document IT policies, processes, SOPs, and procedures. Maintain and enhance IT knowledgebase information and end-user documentation. These responsibilities mirror the PWS requirements for general IT support, special projects, information communications technologies, administrative coordination, ticket management, and IT process improvement.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university OR at least four years of relevant experience. Project-management experience. Microsoft certification or demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft applications, including: Microsoft Word Excel SharePoint Outlook Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts and ideas verbally and in writing. Strong organization and task-management capabilities. Ability to coordinate requirements and activities among users, technical teams, and organizational stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications Experience with software-development processes. Strong customer-service, interpersonal, teamwork, and organizational skills. Demonstrated ability to proactively troubleshoot problems and improve business or IT processes. Ability to prioritize and successfully complete multiple concurrent tasks. Experience facilitating interdepartmental communications between internal and external stakeholders. Knowledge of systems administration, including Active Directory and Group Policy. Knowledge of file management and administrative procedures. Experience developing and implementing new IT policies, procedures, and processes.
