Job description
- Design, develop, test, and implement enhancements for the ACAM platform while supporting modernization initiatives.
- Develop and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, and CICS.
- Support batch processing by building, maintaining, and troubleshooting Control-M schedules and related processes.
- Investigate and resolve production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and ensure application stability and reliability.
- Collaborate with product teams, production support, business stakeholders, and offshore development teams to gather requirements and deliver technical solutions.
- Contribute to modernization via CI/CD practices, cloud technologies, API enablement, and hybrid integration strategies.
- Review and maintain technical documentation and participate in knowledge sharing across global teams.
Requirements
- 7+ years of mainframe development experience, preferably in financial services.
- Proficiency in COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, and CICS.
- Hands-on experience with Control-M, MQ Series, and Easytrieve or REXX.
- Understanding of batch processing, online transaction processing, file-based data flows, and EBCDIC data handling.
- Experience with production support and incident resolution.
- Experience with CI/CD and source control tools such as Endevor, GitLab, or similar.
- Experience in large-scale enterprise environments.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
Benefits & conditions
This is a contract to hire opportunity. Applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis and convert to FTE following contract duration. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.
Rate: $75.00 to $82.00/hr. w2, Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
