Job description
We are seeking a Salesforce Tester to support manual testing for a Salesforce implementation project. The primary responsibility of this role is to perform comprehensive functional testing of Salesforce features, business processes, integrations, and data migrations., * Review business requirements, user stories, functional specifications, and acceptance criteria.
- Create and execute test strategies, test scenarios, test cases, and manual test scripts.
- Perform functional, system, end-to-end, regression, smoke, and negative testing.
- Test Salesforce objects, fields, page layouts, record types, validation rules, workflows, flows, approvals, reports, dashboards, and user access.
- Validate business processes and user journeys across Salesforce.
- Prepare and manage test data; document test results, evidence, and overall test status.
- Identify, prioritize, track, and retest defects using Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.
- Participate in defect triage, sprint ceremonies, test planning, and release readiness discussions.
- Support user acceptance testing, integration testing, production validation, and post-deployment testing.
- Validate data flows between Salesforce, MuleSoft, legacy applications, and other connected systems.
- Support data migration validation, including completeness, accuracy, field mapping, relationships, and business rule compliance.
- Maintain test documentation, requirements traceability, test execution reports, and quality metrics.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in software quality assurance or manual testing.
- Hands-on experience testing Salesforce applications and business functionality.
- Strong experience writing and executing manual test scripts.
- Understanding of Salesforce objects, relationships, fields, record types, validation rules, flows, workflows, reports, dashboards, and security concepts.
- Experience performing functional, regression, system, and end-to-end testing.
- Experience with defect management and test management tools.
- Ability to interpret requirements and develop comprehensive, risk-based test coverage.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience supporting Salesforce implementation, enhancement, or release projects.
- Experience with legacy-system-to-Salesforce data migration validation.
- Experience working in an Agile delivery environment.
