Job description

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Essential functions of the job are denoted. Other duties may also be assigned. Provide consumer analysis of the following core areas of strengths and barriers to employment: social skills, soft skills, cognitive functioning and work activities.

Give sound recommendations for employment planning and services.

Procure community situational assessment sites based on consumer employment goals.

Provide support at job interviews between consumers and employer.

Attend employee-training seminars at job site as needed conducting job analysis for tasks once a consumer starts.

Develop job duty analysis including hourly/daily/weekly task schedule analysis, task breakdown as well as analysis of social and performance skills needed in typical work situations.

Provide professional mentorship while individuals choose, obtain and retain employment focusing all activities provided on the persons identified strengths, abilities, interests, resources, capacities, and informed choice.

To develop and assist in the implementation of goals and objectives related to integrated community activities and job placements for consumers Individual Support Plan (IPP) or

Individual Habilitation Consumer Plan (IHSP).

To develop and identify community resources and contacts to facilitate integrated community based training in and around job site.

To contract and develop integrated community job placements that is individualized to match the strengths and weaknesses and the job parameters of the person.

To help organize and monitor a recording system (Data Base) to collect data which reflects the progress of Employment Services for individuals with severe disabilities.

To meet regular with intra-agency Employment teams, Regional Center (if applicable) and Department of Rehabilitation representatives to discuss potential referrals and job leads.

To contact employers on a regular basis to review individual trainee performance, assistance, and needs as an integral part of each trainees on-going support.

On site job coaching providing support for consumer to facilitate positive working relationships with co-workers, management, and public.

Accurately document all hours spent with consumer in detailed progress reports.

Ensure that all incidents relating to the health and safety of the consumer are reported to the D.O.R. Services Supervisor immediately and documented properly.

To carry out other duties as requested by the Supported Employment Manager and Director of Program.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Word embeddings?, Do you have a Bachelor’s degree?, MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: The following are the minimum qualifications which an individual needs in order to successfully perform the duties and responsibilities of this position. Please note that the minimum qualifications may vary based upon the department size and/or geographic location.

Some college; Bachelors degree preferred.

Combination of training, education, and experience that is equivalent to the employment standards listed above and that provides the required knowledge and abilities.

Reliable transportation and valid insurance.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

Access to employment websites and other resources

Ability to communicate clearly, concisely and persuasively

Ability to use Smart Phone for ADP, and consistent contact with consumers and vendors.

Ability to use Microsoft programs Word and Excel.

Excellent communication skills both written and verbal; strong presentation and interpersonal skills

Ability to work remotely with use of company computer, utilizing all expectations of communication (i.e. email, texting, phone calls, Soneto database, etc.)

Ability to interact effectively at all levels and across diverse cultures.

Ability to be an effective team member.

Understands organization culture and values.
