Software Engineer III

We have an immediate need for a Software Engineer to enhance capabilities of cyber products for security-conscious government & commercial customers. The position will be responsible for developing & testing new product capabilities, software development/build tools, software test infrastructure & operational support for cross-domain products., * Utilize your expertise in software development processes to guide the requirement definition, design and implementation of secure message gateways.

• Demonstrate competency working hands-on in Linux based environments.

• Develop new features and extensions to existing products using a variety of languages including Rust, C, C++, Java, and proprietary languages.

• Self-starter utilizing your Linux and scripting expertise to integrate new features and extensions into complex products.

• Leverage standard networking concepts to support the design and implementation of Cross Domain capabilities.

• Develop data inspection policies using proprietary and open-source programming languages.

• Provide technical briefings to customers and Everfox leadership as required.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter, working in a cohesive team environment, willing to grow & learn using many software development & operational tools to test, debug & support software for secure Linux desktop environments, IT operations/enterprise management, IP networking/routing and remote/virtual desktop deployments., * BS Computer Science, Computer Engineer, Information Security or equivalent

• 8+ years’ experience in software engineering, system engineering or related disciplines

• Experience with software development in Linux environments using a variety of programming and scripting languages including Java, Python, Go, C/C++, and/or bash

• Hands-on experience implementing TCP/IP networking & related protocols (such as HTTP, SSH, IPSEC, TLS/SSL, etc)

• Robust understanding of private and public keys and or certificates

• Experience with version control technologies such as Git

• Red Hat Enterprise, Fedora or Ubuntu Linux operating systems
• Ability to obtain Government Security Clearance if needed.

Nice to Have:

• Direct experience with Link16, JREAP-C, TADIL-J, USMTF, VMF and related standards and protocols.

• Experience with security design and architecture of Cross Domain solutions (CDS)

• Experience with AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Codex, Gemini or Open Code

• Agile or Scrum development experience

• Experience with deploying cloud technologies such as MS Azure or AWS

• Experience with virtual desktop redisplay technologies such as RDP, Citrix Receiver or VMware Horizon View

A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is: $125,100.00-164,000.00 USD

The actual salary offered may vary within the range based on a candidates’ unique experience, locale, and business needs.
