Job description
We are seeking a creative and user-focused UI/UX Designer to join our digital product team. In this role, you will translate business requirements and user needs into intuitive, engaging, and visually appealing digital experiences. You will work closely with UX Analysts, Developers, Accessibility Experts, and Business Stakeholders to design and deliver high-quality user interfaces across web, mobile, and tablet applications., * Transform business and user requirements into intuitive and visually compelling user interface designs.
- Analyze user journeys using UX methodologies such as heuristic evaluations, task analysis, and analytics reviews.
- Create wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and storyboards to validate and refine design concepts.
- Design responsive user experiences across web, mobile, and tablet platforms.
- Define information architecture, navigation structures, and interaction workflows.
- Develop and maintain scalable design systems, including design tokens, reusable components, templates, and style guides.
- Create graphical assets such as illustrations, infographics, visualizations, and other digital design elements.
- Plan and conduct usability testing, A/B testing, heuristic reviews, and user research activities.
- Document usability findings and provide actionable recommendations for improvement.
- Collaborate with development teams to support implementation, cross-browser compatibility, and visual quality assurance.
- Prepare and manage developer handoff documentation using modern collaboration tools.
- Ensure consistency, accessibility compliance, and adherence to established design standards across digital products.
- Advocate for and drive adoption of design system components and UI patterns across projects.
- Partner with UX Analysts and Accessibility Experts to ensure user validation and regulatory compliance.
Requirements
- Knowledge of UI/UX design principles, methodologies, and best practices.
- Understanding of responsive design, information architecture, and interaction design.
- Experience with design and prototyping tools such as:
- Figma
- Balsamiq
- InVision
- UxPin
- Framer
- Knowledge of graphic design tools such as Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.
- Understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and modern JavaScript frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
- Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG), web ergonomics, usability principles, and SEO best practices.
- Knowledge of user research and usability testing methodologies.
- Understanding of design system management and component library governance.
- Experience working within Agile development environments.
- Familiarity with collaborative platforms such as Atlassian Confluence.
- Understanding of security, privacy, and data protection principles in digital products.
- Language: Fluent in English & one of French or Dutch.
Preferred Qualifications
- UXQB Certified Professional for Usability and User Experience Foundation (CPUX-F)
- Nielsen Norman Group (NN/g) UX Certification
- Google UX Design Certificate
- Equivalent UX/UI Design certification, * Passion for creating exceptional user experiences.
- Strong visual design and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to present and defend design decisions using research and evidence.
- Comfort working in multicultural and multilingual environments.
- Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills.
- Adaptability to emerging design tools and technologies.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a team.
- Results-driven mindset with attention to quality and detail.
