Job description

We’re looking for an experienced 2nd Line Support Engineer to join a growing technical team within a leading IT services environment (MSP)

You’ll provide 2nd and 3rd line support to managed customers and internal users, troubleshoot complex technical issues, support customer onboarding, and contribute to infrastructure and cloud projects.

You’ll also act as an escalation point for the wider support team, sharing knowledge and helping drive continuous technical improvement., * Provide 2nd and 3rd line IT support to customers and internal users.

  • Troubleshoot Windows, Microsoft 365, networking, Servers and endpoints.
  • Support Intune, Entra ID, Active Directory and Group Policy.
  • Configure and deploy laptops, desktops and mobile devices.
  • Support Firewalls, Switches, Wi-Fi and VPNs (Fortinet)
  • Assist with customer onboarding, cloud migrations and infrastructure projects.
  • Support endpoint security and Zero Trust initiatives.
  • Create technical documentation and service reports.
  • Act as an escalation point and mentor junior engineers.

Requirements

  • 3+ years’ experience in IT Support, Service Desk or an MSP environment.
  • Strong Microsoft 365 experience.
  • Microsoft Intune and Entra ID.
  • Windows 10/11 and Windows Server administration.
  • Active Directory and Group Policy.
  • Solid networking knowledge including DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, VPNs and Firewalls.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and customer service skills.
  • Strong organisation and communication skills.

Desirable

  • MSP experience.
  • Microsoft certifications such as MD-102, MS-102 or AZ-104.
  • Microsoft Defender and endpoint security.
  • Datto RMM, HaloPSA or similar.
  • PowerShell.
  • Cyber Essentials and Zero Trust knowledge.
