Job description

In this role, you will be responsible for the development of tests for critical components including custom PCIe devices, networking solutions, and other PC components.

You will work cross-functionally with our electrical engineering and software teams to develop and test new products and technologies.

We are looking for an engineer who is curious, enthusiastic, and not afraid to embrace new technologies.

The ability to work independently and organize work around schedules and critical deadlines is a definite plus.

Responsibilities:

Build and release test solutions for use for early bring-up activities at Client

A key requirement of this role is the ability to work cross functionally to implement the correct test coverage and process across all phases of manufacturing (PCBA, module, system, vehicle)

Support the test and validation of prototype designs

Establish best practices and drive continuous improvement for improving test execution, test runtime and yield

Requirements

Do you have experience in Version control?, Do you have a Bachelor of Science?, BS in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, physics, or equivalent technical degree

6-8 years of industry experience

Hands on experience testing, troubleshooting and debugging complex software systems.

Knowledge of manufacturing and testing electronic assemblies; knowledge of NPI testing and validation is a strong plus.

Strong git proficiency ( git workflows, conflict resolution, advanced branching and merging, history manipulation)

Strong knowledge of python, shell (bash) scripting .

Experience with other programming languages such as C++ is beneficial

Experience with the linux platform - debugging failures using command-line tools such as lshw, ssh, * Do you have 6+ years of experience in test engineering, hardware validation, or manufacturing test environments?

  • Have you worked hands-on with Linux debugging, Python/Bash scripting, and Git in a production or lab environment?
  • Do you have experience with PCBA, NPI, prototype bring-up, or electronic system testing?
  • Are you comfortable working fully onsite in Foster City, CA?

Benefits & conditions

$65 - $70 an hour - Full-time, Contract
