Job description
Identity sits at the heart of how we protect our customers, colleagues and technology. We are looking for an Identity & Access Management Team Lead who can combine practical IAM knowledge with strong people leadership, sound judgement and the confidence to challenge constructively.
This is not a purely operational or theoretical role. You will help shape the direction of our identity services, lead an established team and improve how access is governed across a complex mix of cloud and on-premise technology. You will work across security, technology, risk and the wider business to ensure our controls remain effective as the organisation and technology landscape evolve.
What you’ll be doing:
- Leading, coaching and developing colleagues across the IAM and Access Control teams
- Setting priorities and shaping the strategic direction of identity services
- Overseeing access governance across JML, RBAC, PAM, recertification and service accounts
- Coordinating IAM controls, attestations, audit evidence and remediation activity
- Improving policies, standards, processes and service performance
- Partnering with business leaders, application owners, technology teams and service providers
- Analysing identity and access data to identify risks and improvement opportunities
- Supporting new technology, integrations, automation and identity-related business change
Requirements
- Strong practical experience in Identity & Access Management or information security
- Experience leading, coaching and building capability within a technical or service team
- Broad understanding of identity across cloud and on-premise environments
- Knowledge of Active Directory, Entra ID, SSO, MFA, RBAC, PAM and identity lifecycle management
- Experience managing controls, audit activity, evidence and remediation
- Confidence working with senior stakeholders and challenging access requirements constructively
- An analytical approach with the ability to turn complex issues into practical priorities
- Curiosity, learning agility and a genuine interest in improving services rather than maintaining the status quo
Benefits & conditions
Whatever your role, we reward performance and behaviour with a package that looks after all the things that are important to you. Here are some of the benefits we offer:
- The opportunity to participate in our annual, performance -related bonus plan and valuable share schemes
- Generous pension contribution
- Life assurance
