Systems Engineer

Spectrum Software Technology (SST) is hiring System Engineers/Technical Specialists to support mission-critical civil aviation systems as part of a long-term technology modernization initiative. This position focuses on hands-on hardware, networking, and system support for FAA facilities across the country., * Deploy, install, and maintain hardware at FAA Centers, TRACONs, and Towers

• Build and configure servers to meet site-specific technical requirements
• Install and support networking equipment including routers, switches, and printers
• Perform lab network updates supporting FAA technology refresh initiatives
• Diagnose and resolve issues related to hardware, operating systems, and network components
• Provide system administration support and technical assistance to end users
• Monitor system performance and participate in testing and validation activities

• Associate’s Degree in a technical discipline with 8 years of relevant experience or 10+ years of hands-on IT / hardware engineering experience
• Strong background in computer hardware, peripherals, and networking
• Experience working with routers and switches
• Working knowledge of Linux environments
• Broad IT support and troubleshooting experience
• Willingness and ability to travel approximately 50%
• Ability to work onsite in Egg Harbor Township, NJ
