Job description
- Provide first-line technical support to employees
- Respond to IT support requests and troubleshoot common issues
- Assist with software, account, access, and connectivity problems
- Support employee onboarding and offboarding from an IT perspective
- Help configure and troubleshoot laptops, peripherals, and other workplace technology
- Manage and document support requests and their resolution
- Escalate more complex technical issues to the appropriate team
- Maintain internal IT documentation and troubleshooting guides
- Help manage software access, user accounts, and basic permissions
- Support routine software and device setup
- Identify recurring technical issues and suggest improvements
- Help maintain an organized and reliable remote IT environment
Requirements
- 0-2 years of experience in IT support, technical support, help desk, or a related role
- Basic understanding of computers, operating systems, networks, and common software
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Patient and service-oriented approach to supporting users
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills
- Ability to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical users
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail
- Willingness to learn and take ownership of issues
- Comfortable working independently in a remote environment
NICE TO HAVE
- CompTIA A+, Google IT Support, or similar certification
- Experience with Windows and macOS
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace
- Experience with Jira, Zendesk, or other ticketing systems
- Basic understanding of identity and access management
- Familiarity with remote-support tools
- Previous experience supporting a remote or distributed team
Benefits & conditions
$48,000-$62,000 annually, depending on experience, qualifications, and overall fit for the role.
