Job description

Help shape the future of our games by turning player behaviour data into decisions that improve player experience and commercial success.

As a Senior Data Scientist, you will help us make sense of our raw game and business data. Together, we want to improve our games and influence business and product decisions by making the most out of our data.

You will analyze player behavior, design experiments, build predictive models, create visualizations, and work with production data pipelines. Our data platform is built on Google Cloud Platform, and we primarily work with BigQuery, Pub/Sub, Apache Beam, and Python or R., * Help teams make better decisions by translating complex data into actionable insights.

  • Plan and lead data science projects from idea to production.
  • Design and analyse experiments to evaluate gameplay and business initiatives.
  • Build, deploy and maintain machine learning models where appropriate.
  • Create dashboards and visualizations that communicate insights clearly.
  • Champion data science and evidence-based decision making across the studio.
  • Closely collaborate with design & research to drive decisions across the game

Requirements

For this role, you must understand and communicate key insights and questions clearly to colleagues outside the team. You have professional experience applying data science to real-world products and a background in computer science, physics, mathematics or a similar field., * min. 5 years of hands-on experience with developing custom data models and algorithms to address business challenges using SQL, Python, or R.

  • Experience working with production data pipelines and ETL frameworks and automation (e.g., Airflow, Beam).
  • University degree within Data Science or similar field
  • Strong analytical skills and a curiosity for understanding complex systems and player behaviour.
  • Great communication skills. Ability to clearly formulate and articulate the problem at hand in a simple, actionable way (especially to colleagues without a data science background).
  • Self-motivated and proactive with critical thinking and the resourcefulness to drive projects to success.
  • The ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative environment.
