SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR 1 - RIVERTON, UAH

Assist with the management of Building Management Systems (BMS) IT support to meet service level agreements

• Analyze BMS server, storage, and network performance and recommend improvements
• Resolve complex system issues for BMS infrastructure including networks, servers, storage, and field devices
• Communicate with customers, manufacturers, vendors and technical specialists
• Analyze and modify preventive maintenance checklists for system changes
• Troubleshoot system performance issues and implement corrective actions
• Perform preventive maintenance actions including system back-ups, error log reviews, database size and integrity checks
• Organize and prepare detailed documentation of system performance, including service request records and analysis
• Perform desktop and server operating system set-up, imaging software loads, and antivirus updates
• Provision new servers and storage and configure new network equipment to include switches, routers, printers, etc.

Day-to-day fluency using Microsoft Active Directory to manage policies and user objects.

• Experience deploying, troubleshooting, administering and using Linux (Cent, RHEL, SUSE, Ubuntu, etc.)
• Experience deploying, troubleshooting, administering and using Microsoft Windows 2012 R2 or greater.
• Experience managing, troubleshooting and administering VMware 5.5+ (vCenter/vSphere).
• Proficient at scripting in at least one of the following: bash, sh, PowerShell, Python, Ruby, etc.
• Experience using management tools such as SolarWinds, AppDynamics, Splunk, etc
• Knowledge of security policies and general vulnerabilities management.
• Expert infrastructure/system/application troubleshooting abilities.
• 5+ years of continuous hands-on experience in systems administration with a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical discipline. -Exceptionally proficient with Microsoft Office products -Excellent organizational skills with an immense attention for detail -Proven verbal and written communication skills -Self-driven, able to multitask and work in a fast paced team oriented environment -Must be able to achieve and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance

DESIRE

-Experience with relation database systems (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, etc.) including data manipulation and definition. -Experience in the implementation and configuration of a Building Management Systems (BMS) -Previous operating CMMS/EAM software for asset management and/or scheduling

• Microsoft and/or Red Hat certifications highly desired., Follows tasks to their logical conclusion and makes sure that everything has been done to the right standard.
