Requirements

  • Proven ability to lead complex, multistakeholder development programs involving custom or emerging technologies\n
  • Experience driving supplier qualification, onboarding, and development efforts for hardware components or assemblies\n
  • Strong understanding of hardware development lifecycles, design-for-manufacturing principles, and supplier engagement models\n
  • Highly proficient in building and managing integrated project plans, tracking risk and performance, and driving execution through influence\n
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills; able to translate complex requirements across technical and nontechnical stakeholders\n
  • Strong organizational awareness and ability to manage ambiguity in fast-paced environments\n, * Background in radar, RF systems, aerospace, automotive, or complex electromechanical systems\n
  • Familiarity with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools such as Arena or Windchill\n
  • Proficiency with project management and collaboration tools (e.g., MS Project, Confluence, Jira)\n
  • Experience with Agile or hybrid program execution models\n
  • Certifications such as PMP, Lean Six Sigma, or equivalent are a plus\n
  • Experience driving process or framework improvements across internal and supplier teams\n, * Bachelors degree in engineering, physical sciences, supply chain, or a related technical discipline\n

Echodyne offers its radars to companies working in Automotive, Transportation, Critical Infrastructure Protection, Border Security, Smart Cities, Uncrewed Aircraft Systems (UAS), and Airspace Management including Urban Air Mobility (UTM).\n \n \nEchodyne is seeking a Principal Technical Program Manager with experience leading supplier-driven hardware and technology integration programs to join our Program Management Office (PMO). \n \n \nROLE OVERVIEW\n \n \nYoull play a critical role in the development and maturation of custom, made-to-specification assemblies, components, and technologies that support the companys long-term product roadmap. This role bridges engineering, operations, sourcing, and external partners to deliver next-generation radar and sensing platforms.\n \n \nYou will lead strategic initiatives involving early-stage R&D, supplier development, and process optimizationoften running in parallel with or ahead of standard product programs. The ideal candidate brings a systems mindset, deep technical fluency, and a strong background in managing complex cross-functional efforts with both internal and external teams.\n \n \nRESPONSIBILITIES\n \n \n \n

  • Lead and execute cross-functional initiatives involving made-to-spec hardware, components, and processes across supplier and internal engineering teams\n
  • Define and manage comprehensive development plans, integrating technical milestones, supplier readiness, and risk mitigation\n
  • Drive technology feasibility reviews and supplier evaluations, partnering with engineering and sourcing teams to qualify new capabilities\n
  • Oversee integration of custom supplier deliverables into internal development efforts, ensuring alignment on quality, timing, and validation\n
  • Assess and mature supplier processes, capabilities, and metrics to ensure repeatable, scalable development\n
  • Promote structured collaboration and alignment across engineering, supply chain, and manufacturing teams\n
  • Lead post-integration reviews to drive continuous improvement in internal and external processes\n
  • Support strategic planning by identifying technical capability gaps, supplier dependencies, and future readiness requirements\n
  • Travel domestically and internationally for supplier site visits, technical reviews, and onboarding activities (estimated 1525%\n
