Job description

  • Define and maintain Lakeside’s enterprise data architecture, including standards, models, integration patterns, roadmaps, and controls supporting BI, analytics, and AI.
  • Design scalable and reusable data models, schemas, semantic models, and trusted data products that provide consistent enterprise data.
  • Provide architectural leadership for Snowflake and related data services, focusing on performance, scalability, reliability, security, and lifecycle management.
  • Design and guide resilient ELT/ETL pipelines, APIs, integrations, and interfaces connecting enterprise applications and operational systems.
  • Establish standards for data quality, governance, metadata, lineage, security, privacy, access, monitoring, testing, and documentation.
  • Partner with business and Technology teams to translate requirements into sustainable data solutions while providing technical guidance and communicating architecture decisions and trade-offs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Data Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, analytics, database development, or a related field.
  • Advanced SQL skills with strong knowledge of relational and analytical database design, dimensional modeling, normalized modeling, and modern data architecture.
  • Experience with ELT/ETL pipelines, data integrations, APIs, orchestration, and cloud data platforms; Snowflake experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of data governance, quality, metadata, lineage, security, privacy, semantic modeling, and role-based access controls.
  • Understanding of data architecture for BI and AI, including machine learning, generative AI, RAG, and AI agents; familiarity with Python, source control, testing, CI/CD, and monitoring preferred.
