SOC Platform Engineer

We ARE Renewables is looking for a SOC Platform Engineer for one of our clients in the energy sector in the Netherlands For the Cyber Defense Center (CDC), we are looking for an experienced SOC Platform Engineer responsible for the architecture, further development, and strategic design of the security platform landscape. The architect ensures that the various security services, detection and response capabilities, cloud platforms, and supporting technologies are configured sustainably, scalably, and securely.

Tasks and Responsibilities Designing and maintaining the target architecture for the Cyber Defense Center.

• Translating strategic security objectives into concrete platform and architecture solutions.
• Developing architecture roadmaps for security monitoring, detection, response, and threat intelligence.
• Ensuring security-by-design and privacy-by-design principles within the platform landscape.
• Advising on the deployment and integration of solutions for: SIEM, SOAR, and XDR platforms; Vulnerability Management solutions; Cloud Security platforms.
• Establishing architecture frameworks, reference architectures, and technical standards.
• Assessing new technologies and vendors for architectural suitability.
• Supporting programs and projects with solution and platform issues.
• Collaborating with SOC analysts, security engineers, product owners, and enterprise architects.
• Monitoring coherence between on-premises, hybrid, and cloud environments.
• Driving automation, scalability, and operational efficiency.

• Extensive experience as an IT, Security, or Platform Engineer.
• Extensive experience in information security or cybersecurity.
• Demonstrable experience with complex enterprise environments.
• Experience with cloud platforms .
• Experience with architecture methodologies such as TOGAF, ArchiMate, or similar.
• Knowledge of Zero Trust architecture principles.
