Senior Data Scientist

The Senior Statistician / Data Scientist is responsible for performing advanced statistical analysis, data modeling, and analytical reporting to support decision-making processes. This role involves providing surge analysis, ad-hoc reporting, and validation of data accuracy, primarily serving the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) with urgent and complex analytical needs. Responsibilities:

• Perform statistical analysis and data modeling.
• Develop and deliver analytical reports.
• Provide ad-hoc reporting under urgent timelines.
• Document methodologies and assumptions used in analyses.
• Validate the accuracy of reports and data outputs.
• Support advanced analytics initiatives and projects.

• Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Data Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in data analytics.
• Proficiency with statistical and data analysis tools such as Python, R, SAS, or SPSS.
• Experience in dashboard creation and reporting.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

• Experience working with government agencies or DHS preferred.
• Advanced degrees or certifications in data science or statistics.
• Familiarity with advanced analytics techniques and tools.
