Job description

Bentley Systems, Inc is looking for a Software Engineer II with 4+ years’ experience for the Digital Experience Engineering Portals Team. As a member of this team, you’ll have the opportunity to learn and work with cutting edge cloud platforms within Microsoft Azure and the latest UI technologies. You will be instrumental in building robust and reusable React components and backend APIs for our Portals. In this exciting and challenging role, you will work with a global team of engineers to provide our customers with excellent UI and stable and scalable infrastructure., * Contribute to the design and development of front-end and backend software components.

  • Work closely with senior engineers to understand design patterns, coding practices, and best approaches to software delivery.
  • Participate in technical design discussions, code reviews, and troubleshooting to ensure high-quality and maintainable code.
  • Collaborate within an agile development environment using Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) practices.
  • Demonstrate curiosity and eagerness to learn new technologies and improve technical and communication skills.
  • Mentor junior engineers and help foster a culture of engineering excellence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of professional software development experience.
  • Strong conceptual and practical foundation of core Computer Science concepts including Algorithms, Data Structures, Operating Systems and Object-Oriented Programming.
  • Strong experience building applications using C#, .NET, JavaScript, TypeScript, & React.
  • Excellent problem-solving ability.
  • Knowledge of distributed version control system like git.
  • Working experience of Azure DevOps and Agile Development methodologies like SCRUM.
  • Understanding of web fundamentals such as HTTP, REST APIs, and JSON.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Collaborative and proactive mindset with a willingness to learn and take feedback.

Preferred Skills:

  • Basic understanding of cloud services (preferably Microsoft Azure ).
  • Familiarity with automated testing frameworks (Jest, Playwright, or Selenium).
  • Experience with developer tools such as Visual Studio , VS Code , Postman , or Chrome DevTools .
