Job description

Ericsson’s Tier 1 customer is advancing its 5G Core Network, Cloud Native Infrastructure, OSS, and BSS platforms to support new services, automation capabilities, and next-generation network evolution. As the Head of Cloud Software and Services for the Customer Unit, you will lead the technical strategy and execution of Ericsson’s CSS portfolio across the customer’s nationwide network.

You will be responsible for aligning Ericsson’s technology roadmaps with the customer’s strategic priorities, driving innovation across all network domains, and ensuring seamless integration of Ericsson’s solutions into a multi-layered network architecture.

What you will do:

  • Lead and manage CSS strategy and execution with the customer’s CTO, Network Planning, and Technology organizations.
  • Align Ericsson’s Networks portfolio roadmap with the customer’s business needs, technology evolution, and cloud-native transformation initiatives.
  • Drive innovation and introduction of new technologies and features across all network segments to support customer objectives and maintain competitive advantage.
  • Collaborate closely with the customer’s CTO, Engineering, and Operations teams to ensure deep understanding of their challenges, goals, and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage cross-domain teams and ecosystem partners to deliver integrated, end-to-end network solutions tailored for the customer’s architecture.
  • Lead performance evaluations, feature improvements, and operational excellence initiatives across Ericsson’s Networks portfolio deployed within the customer’s network.
  • Build and develop a high-performing team, fostering strong collaboration with Sales, Product Management, Domains, Program Office, and ecosystem partners.
  • Provide thought leadership by sharing business insights, industry trends, and technological advancements to drive Ericsson’s Networks business growth., DISCLAIMER: The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees in this position. Requirements

Do you have experience in Telecommunication?, Do you have a Bachelor’s degree in engineering?, * BS Degree in Engineering (IT, Telecom, Computer Science) required; MS preferred. MBA or equivalent business qualifications desirable.

  • 10+ years of ICT industry experience, including leadership roles involving portfolio strategy, technical sales, product management, or consulting.
  • Strong experience leading large, complex technical teams and projects in a multi-domain network environment across Core Networks, OSS, and BSS.
  • Deep knowledge of end-to-end network technologies, with emphasis on 5G Core, Cloud Native architectures, OSS/BSS systems, and Network Management.
  • Competence in AI technologies preferred.
  • Proven ability to align technical roadmaps with customer business objectives and commercial strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging executive stakeholders, cross-functional teams, and external partners.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills in building and developing high-performing, distributed teams.
  • Strong understanding of CSP processes, entry/exit criteria, and operational requirements for large-scale network deployments.
  • A holistic vision across all network domains and the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business value.
  • Deep curiosity and excellent listening skills to understand customer challenges and proactively develop tailored solutions.

Sales Incentive Plan : Your pay also includes the opportunity for sales incentives as a part of Ericsson’s Sales Incentive Plan. Actual payouts are based on performance of the business against the unit’s objectives, individual performance, and the individual incentive target. Certain eligibility and pro-ration rules apply.

Your Health Ericsson offers excellent health benefits including the choice of three medical plan options and a dental plan option that allow an employee to select the level of coverage that suits their needs. Employees will receive company credits in an amount equal to the cost that Ericsson pays toward the cost of their medical and dental premiums for themselves and eligible covered dependents.

Your Financial Security

We invest in both your short and long-term financial wellbeing. The Ericsson US 401(k) Plan offers an automatic 3% company contribution and Ericsson match $1 for every $1 you put into the 401(k) Plan on the first 3% of your eligible pay, plus 50 cents on every $1 on the next 2% of eligible pay. When you contribute at least 5% of eligible pay, you are receiving Ericsson’s full matching contributions of 4%. Matching and company automatic contributions stop when your total eligible pay for the year reaches the IRS limits. Employees will also receive company credits in an amount equal to the cost of basic life insurance and basic accidental death and dismemberment coverage, as well as short-term and long-term disability coverage. Employees also have the option to participate in Ericsson’s Stock Purchase Plan.

Your Time Your work-life balance is important to us. New employees are provided a minimum of 15 days of accrued vacation, up to 3 personal days per year, 11 annual holidays, 8 hours of volunteer time, and 80 hours of sick time annually. Please note paid time off is pro-rated based on the employee’s start date. Furthermore, Ericsson provides up to 16 weeks of paid maternity leave and 6 weeks of parental or adoption leave at 100% of pay.
