Experteer Overview As a Managed Operations Engineer for the European Sovereign Cloud, you will help build, operate, and evolve a high-availability ESC for EU customers.You’ll work with global AWS teams to improve availability, latency, and efficiency while guiding development and operations across compute, storage, and related services.You will participate in on-call rotations and mentor teams on operational best practices.This role combines hands-on engineering with education to share knowledge about the ESC, shaping secure, scalable cloud delivery for Europe.Compensaciones / Beneficios - Oversee ongoing operations and the expansion of the ESC - Collaborate with global AWS teams to influence service evolution - Review operational health, identify anomalies, and generate actionable bug reports - Improve day-to-day operations and drive improvements in availability, reliability, latency, performance, and efficiency - Develop and test scripts to streamline workflows - Provide feedback on change management documents and address operational backlog - Educate service teams on European Sovereign Cloud concepts and best practices - Participate in 24x7 on-call rotations to resolve incidents - Work with teams to ensure scalable, fault-tolerant systems - Root-cause issues with the team to maintain reliabilityResponsabilidades - Experience in Linux OS and network troubleshooting - Experience in Python, Perl, or another scripting language - Experience in systems engineering, site reliability engineering, building and operating systems at scale - National of an EU member state and residing in the EU - Ability to lead creation, revision, and improvement of SOPs and operational best practicesRequisitos principales - relocation support within the EU - focus on work-life balance - inclusive team culture - mentorship and career growth resources
