Job description

Join our team of Structural Engineers, a diverse group of technical experts and program managers dedicated to finding innovative solutions. We’re the perfect mix of people to help you develop both your technical skills and your career. We are looking for Design Interns to join our team and make a real impact.

What you will be doing:

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

  • Design of composite and metallic Wing structures across various Airbus programmes;
  • Create design schemes, frontier and interfaces drawings and Data for manufacture (component drawings);
  • Able to assess design solutions within the time, cost and quality parameters and manage offload to suppliers if necessary;
  • Ensure the structural design meets programme airworthiness and product requirements and in line with cascaded Design Quality Assurance Criteria;
  • Define, deliver and enable technical studies, trades and investigations to ensure the delivery of technical solutions in accordance with relevant Design methods and procedures.

Requirements

Do you enjoy connecting with people and different organizations? Are you passionate about developing wing structures?, * Studying towards a degree in an Engineering Field, Design Technology, Science, Maths, or equivalent;

  • Willingness to learn basic metallic and composite structures and design toolsets i.e. CATIA V5, ICC, Zamiz, ECM, Optegra & PASS, Google Sheets, Slides and Docs;
  • Proactive attitude in order to propose solutions and solve problems;
  • Nice to have experience in developing IT solutions associated with engineering activities i.e. Macros, Matlab, etc.;
  • Ensure delivery of own tasks whilst adhering to time, cost and quality parameters;
  • Good communication skills and a drive to deliver customer value and quality;

SECURITY CLEARANCE: You will be subject to a BPSS (Baseline Personnel Security Standard) check. You may also need to gain UK SC-level Security Clearance or Export Control, depending on the role., This job requires an awareness of any potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity, as the foundation for the Company’s success, reputation and sustainable growth.
