Job description

Seeking a Systems Administrator to build, configure, and maintain Windows and Linux servers and workstations. This role supports infrastructure projects and ensures reliable system performance., * Build and configure operating systems:

  • Windows Server (2016, 2019, 2022, 2025)
  • Windows 10 and Windows 11
  • Linux (RHEL 8/9)
  • Follow established procedures, installation standards, and methodologies
  • Integrate software to support hardware usage, monitoring, and performance
  • Track and report progress on assigned tasks
  • Identify and report issues or blockers
  • Stay current on hardware and software developments; evaluate new solutions
  • Maintain accurate system and process documentation
  • Install, configure, and support virtual appliances

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience with a degree, or 3+ years without
  • Strong knowledge of:
  • Windows Server OS
  • Active Directory
  • PowerShell scripting
  • Experience with Linux (RHEL 8/9), including:
  • Shell scripting
  • Software installation and troubleshooting (yum/dnf)
  • Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
  • Experience with server and workstation hardware and software
  • Ability to follow processes and procedures consistently
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with virtualization (Hyper-V, VMware)
  • Experience with Dell servers and iDRAC
  • Knowledge of Linux LVM
  • Experience with change control processes
  • Familiarity with infrastructure tools (backup, anti-malware, patching)
  • Experience with:
  • Ansible
  • Git
  • ServiceNow, JIRA, FootPrints
  • Familiarity with Agile practices
  • Knowledge of NERC CIP standards
  • Exposure to automation tools (BigFix, Puppet)
  • Ability to prioritize work and operate in a team-driven environment
  • Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment, * High school or equivalent (Required), * Linux: 3 years (Required)
  • Windows: 3 years (Required)
  • ServiceNow: 3 years (Required)
