Job description

Seeking a Systems Administrator to build, configure, and maintain Windows and Linux servers and workstations. This role supports infrastructure projects and ensures reliable system performance., * Build and configure operating systems:

Windows Server (2016, 2019, 2022, 2025)
Windows 10 and Windows 11
Linux (RHEL 8/9)
Follow established procedures, installation standards, and methodologies
Integrate software to support hardware usage, monitoring, and performance
Track and report progress on assigned tasks
Identify and report issues or blockers
Stay current on hardware and software developments; evaluate new solutions
Maintain accurate system and process documentation
Install, configure, and support virtual appliances

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
1-2 years of relevant experience with a degree, or 3+ years without
Strong knowledge of:
Windows Server OS
Active Directory
PowerShell scripting
Experience with Linux (RHEL 8/9), including:
Shell scripting
Software installation and troubleshooting (yum/dnf)
Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
Experience with server and workstation hardware and software
Ability to follow processes and procedures consistently
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with virtualization (Hyper-V, VMware)
Experience with Dell servers and iDRAC
Knowledge of Linux LVM
Experience with change control processes
Familiarity with infrastructure tools (backup, anti-malware, patching)
Experience with:
Ansible
Git
ServiceNow, JIRA, FootPrints
Familiarity with Agile practices
Knowledge of NERC CIP standards
Exposure to automation tools (BigFix, Puppet)
Ability to prioritize work and operate in a team-driven environment
Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment, * High school or equivalent (Required), * Linux: 3 years (Required)
