SME Systems Engineer

GovCIO LLC seeks an SME Systems Engineer to lead design, integration, and optimization of secure, mission-critical IT systems for federal customers. You’ll architect and implement enterprise infrastructure and cloud solutions, guide migrations, and ensure performance, reliability, and compliance with federal security standards. Partner with product owners, developers, and cybersecurity teams to translate mission needs into scalable technical designs, troubleshoot complex issues, and mentor engineers in modern tools, automation, and best practices in a fast-paced, collaborative environment., * Architect and design secure, scalable enterprise and cloud-based systems for federal customers

• Lead integration, configuration, and optimization of infrastructure and application platforms
• Drive system migrations and modernization initiatives to cloud and hybrid environments
• Ensure system security, compliance, performance, and high availability
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex, cross-domain technical issues
• Collaborate with product owners, developers, and cybersecurity teams to refine requirements
• Develop automation, scripts, and tooling to improve reliability and efficiency
• Create and maintain technical documentation, diagrams, and standards
• Mentor and guide junior engineers and support staff
• Support planning and execution of releases, upgrades, and continuity exercises
