The SDET’s responsibilities include both software development and testing tasks, and focuses on the testability, robustness, and performance of production software. As such, an SDET is a test professional with advanced programming skills who can create automation testing tools and frameworks to assist the manual testing process.To be successful as an SDET, you should have excellent time management and organizational skills as well as strong communication skills. You should have a passion for designing, development, and testing and the ability to upgrade your technical skills within the constantly changing technology sector. A positive attitude is a must to help maintain individual and team Moral.What You’ll DoDesign, dev, docs, and maintenance of tools, test cases, and automation design for current and next gen software platforms Team with Product Management, SW Engineering, DevOps, and other technical teams in release planning and coordinationInterpret functional requirements and designs to plan, develop, write, execute, and automate functional and data validation test plansWork with engineering and infrastructure teams on strategy and maintenance for required TDD/CI/CD development and Q/A environmentsProvide feedback and influence into the design process to help us build a testable platform, applications, and data modelsDesign and build quality, performance, and reliability in from day one.Drive effective technical execution and communication as a member of Agile scrum teamsDocument and communicate module and automation framework functions, interfaces, performance criteria, test cases, and results to diverse audiencesEstimate effort, schedule, and develop tasks according to agreed scope and development milestones in order to meet overall project timelinesLead or assist in data analysis to determine data health and consistency, or root cause of issuesWhat You’ll BringBS in Computer science or related field or 1 year of technical experience as an SDE/T or similar role0-2 years of applied professional experience in an object orientated programming languageKnowledge of and experience in full development lifecycle, including code standards/reviews, source control processes, building and testing.knowledge developing and testing in Java.Interest in developing tests through Selenium libraries.Capable of designing, implementing, maintaining, and scaling test automation frameworks with a focus on extensibility, scalability, maintainability, and high performance.Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to interact effectively across all levels.Ability to take a proactive, problem-solving/trouble-shooting approach to identifying and solving problems.

BS in Computer science or related field or 1 year of technical experience as an SDE/T or similar role 0-2 years of applied professional experience in an object orientated programming language Knowledge of and experience in full development lifecycle, including code standards/reviews, source control processes, building and testing. knowledge developing and testing in Java. Interest in developing tests through Selenium libraries. Capable of designing, implementing, maintaining, and scaling test automation frameworks with a focus on extensibility, scalability, maintainability, and high performance. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to interact effectively across all levels.
