Job description

As a Ceph Engineer, you’ll be responsible for building, scaling, and maintaining highly available Ceph clusters, integrated with Kubernetes via Rook. You’ll work on real production environments used by customers across industries, ensuring the performance, reliability, and resilience of their data storage.

You’ll collaborate closely with other engineers, DevOps specialists, and architects to deliver secure, scalable, and future-proof infrastructure solutions - all using open-source tools and platforms.

What You’ll Do:

  • Architect, upgrade and maintain tens of Ceph clusters with Rook.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning using Ansible and Helm.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot performance, availability, and scaling issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices in cloud-native infrastructure.

Requirements

Do you have experience in System administration?, * 5 + years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or Infrastructure Engineering

  • Deep hands-on experience with Ceph in production environments at PB scale
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes and particularly of Rook operator
  • Excellent Linux system administration skills and scripting abilities
  • Familiarity with observability tools like Prometheus and Grafana
  • Fluency in English and strong communication skills
  • Bonus: Experience with OpenStack, contributing to open-source projects, or working with cloud-native CI/CD pipelines
