Job description

We are supporting a well-established organization in the recruitment of a Senior Software Engineer to strengthen its internal technology team.

In this role, you will contribute to the evolution of a portfolio of business applications supporting key operational activities. You will be involved in both the enhancement of existing systems and the delivery of new technical solutions, working closely with multidisciplinary teams in a collaborative Agile environment.

Your responsibilities

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play an active role throughout the software development lifecycle. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Transform functional requirements into scalable and maintainable software solutions.
  • Develop, enhance and maintain enterprise-grade applications.
  • Contribute to the continuous evolution and modernization of existing software components.
  • Design and implement integrations between internal systems using appropriate technologies and interfaces.
  • Improve application reliability, performance, maintainability and overall software quality.
  • Work closely with developers, solution architects, infrastructure teams and business representatives.
  • Participate in technical discussions, solution design and development best practices.
  • Perform code reviews and contribute to testing and deployment activities.
  • Support automated testing and continuous delivery initiatives.
  • Estimate development tasks and contribute to sprint planning and prioritization.
  • Participate actively in Agile ceremonies and collaborative team activities.
  • Produce and maintain clear technical documentation.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering standards and development processes.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
  • At least five years of experience developing enterprise software solutions.
  • Strong expertise in object-oriented software development.
  • Proven experience working on complex business applications.
  • Experience integrating applications through APIs or similar integration technologies.
  • The ability to understand, maintain and improve an existing application landscape.
  • Good understanding of software architecture principles and design patterns.
  • Experience with automated testing and software quality practices.
  • Previous experience working in Agile development teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Professional working proficiency in both French and English.

Technical environment

You will work in a modern software engineering environment including technologies such as:

  • C# and the .NET ecosystem
  • RESTful services and application integration
  • Object-oriented programming principles
  • Software architecture and design patterns
  • Version control and collaborative development tools
  • Automated testing and code quality practices
  • Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD)
  • Agile and DevOps methodologies
  • Experience with application modernization, legacy environments or low-code solutions would be considered an asset.
